DIGITAL COLLAGES

In my digital collages, I start with my own paintings and drawings, which I then develop further digitally. In this way, existing paintings inform the digital collages and vice versa. I continue this ongoing process by adding layers, cropping sections, rotating elements and discovering new, interesting forms and compositions.
It is a very playful process that gives me a greater understanding of visual composition and reveals new approaches and perspectives for my large-format paintings.
