Corinne Vogel
ABOUT
Corinne Vogel (b. 1983, Switzerland) is a visual artist based in Thun, Switzerland. Living in the countryside with her family while working in the city, her practice is primarily rooted in painting, complemented by collage, drawing, and printmaking. Working often on a large scale and with pure pigments, she explores permeability—understanding boundaries as fluid and open, particularly between interior and exterior, body and environment.
Vogel holds an MA in Artistic Production, completed in Valencia, Spain, after working as a secondary school teacher in art and music. Her process is both tactile and contemplative, shaped by an engagement with landscape, memory, and immediate experience. Balancing calm, focused attention with a physical, almost dance-like approach, her work emphasizes materiality, gesture, and the expressive potential of pigment.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including Hastings Contemporary, Sussex, D-Contemporary, London, Kunstmuseum Thun and Kunstraum Bern. She has participated in residencies such as Sea White (UK) and was recently selected from over 2,600 applicants for an institutional exhibition at Hastings Contemporary, UK. Vogel is represented by Galerie Béatrice Brunner, Bern and D-Contemporary, London. Her works are held in private and public collections, including the Kunstmuseum Thun.
